If you’re reading this, you may have found out that you’re on a WeTransfer Premium trial, but what does that mean, exactly? Here’s everything you need to know.

Why am I on this trial?
If you signed up for WeTransfer Pro before the launch of our WeTransfer Premium plan, then you (and your team) are eligible to try WeTransfer Premium features for a limited time at no extra cost. So from 18 January 2022 until 18 July 2022, you get to enjoy all the benefits of WeTransfer Premium at the price you’re already paying for WeTransfer Pro.
What do I get with WeTransfer Premium?
On our newest (and best) plan, you get to enjoy:
- No size limits on transfers
- No storage limits
- No portals and reviews limits
On top of that, you will still have unlimited access to Paste® and Collect features. You can learn more about WeTransfer Premium features here.
How do I activate this trial?
Your trial is activated automatically—nothing to do on your end—and our Terms of Service continue to apply during this time.
You can check if you're still on the trial from your computer. Just click your avatar in the top-right corner of your homepage, then head to Account > Payment. You should see “Your WeTransfer Premium trial is active” along with other important details.
What happens at the end of this trial?
At the end of your 6-month trial on 18 July 2022, you and your team will automatically be back on WeTransfer Pro benefits, unless you decide to upgrade to WeTransfer Premium. We’ll send reminders by email and on your homepage to let you know when your trial is ending soon—that gives you some time to decide whether or not WeTransfer Premium is right for you.
I love WeTransfer Premium! Can I upgrade my plan before my trial ends?
We love to hear it! You can only upgrade once your trial ends on 18 July 2022—so you can keep on enjoying WeTransfer Premium benefits at a lower price for the entire 6 months.
What happens to my unlimited portals if I don’t upgrade to WeTransfer Premium?
All your portals and reviews will still be there once you’re back on WeTransfer Pro—however, WeTransfer Pro gives you access to one portal only. So if you have more than one portal, you won’t be able to create new portals or edit them until you’ve deleted all the additional ones you’ve already made.
Make sure to download and save all your files before deleting the portals you no longer need. Not ready to lose WeTransfer Premium just yet? You can keep all your portals and reviews (with limited access) in case you decide to upgrade later.
What happens to my unlimited storage if I don’t upgrade to WeTransfer Premium?
Once you’re back on WeTransfer Pro, you will only have access to 1 TB of storage (per person, if you add team members). You won’t be able to send new transfers if your storage is full, so you’ll need to delete any unwanted transfers until your storage is less than 1 TB. Again, we recommend that you download and save all your files before deleting transfers.
What happens if I have added new team members during my trial?
New team members will also have access to WeTransfer Premium features during your trial.
If you decide to upgrade at the end of your trial, all your team members will also have WeTransfer Premium. If you don’t upgrade to WeTransfer Premium, you and your team members will be back on WeTransfer Pro.
