Sometimes, when you request assistance from the WeTransfer Support team, we'll ask you to send us back a picture of what you are seeing on your screen. Screenshots are a very helpful way for us to help you, and understand whatever problem you are facing.
Screenshots can be taken with your device's built in software.
With Windows, you can use a keyboard shortcut to capture a screenshot.
- To capture your entire screen, tap the Windows key + Print Screen (sometimes labeled PrtScn) key.
- Your screen will briefly go dim to indicate that you've just taken a screenshot, and the screenshot should be saved to the Pictures > Screenshots folder, if that is your default location for screenshots.
Alternatively, you can use a program on your computer called Snipping Tool to capture a screenshot. Here are Microsoft's own instructions for that:
For Mac, you can use a keyboard shortcut to make a screenshot.
- Press 'Cmd + Shift + 3' at the same time to capture your entire screen.
- The screenshot will be automatically saved to your Desktop, with the file's name being the date and time you took the screenshot at.
