Alexa, play ‘Time to Say Goodbye’
Alas, all good things must come to an end, so it’s with a heavy heart and through held-back tears that we must announce that we’ll be retiring our Public API. Sad times.
Since May 2018, our Public API has allowed people from all over the world to do more than just get their files from ‘A’ to ‘B’ - we’ve seen beautiful things spring up from our API; a visualised map of our transfers, the ability to connect your Spotify account to transfer playlists, even a way to recognise when your neighbour’s cat is at your back door and trying to come inside! (don’t ask)
We’ve decided to retire the API in order to focus more on the future, as we’ve got extraordinary things in the works, super-secret things that will continue to help you move your ideas and enable you to keep sharing your important stuff with anyone, anywhere.
That all being said, our API is still going to function for those who’ve already subscribed, but if you are using it from now on, you’ll be flying solo. That means that our Support team can’t help you with any issues, we won’t be releasing any new updates, and if something breaks, we won’t be able to put a fix in place. Rough, we know, but sometimes you’ve just gotta rip off the band-aid.
You’re still more than welcome to browse our Developer Documentation via the link below, and if you’re as heartbroken as we are and want to discuss this further, please do reach out to us here.
