TLDR; If you've used the free version of WeTransfer and you want to delete your transfer, send us a copy of the upload confirmation email you received as proof of ownership. We'll then take your transfer offline as soon as we can.
The important details you should read about deleting your file transfer:
You can't delete a transfer yourself if you've used the free service.
However, our Support Team is happy to take your transfer offline as an exception. That exception comes with conditions outlined below:
- The transfer must be an email transfer and not a link transfer. You can tell the difference by how you uploaded the transfer. If you uploaded your file without entering any email addresses, then you have created a link transfer and we cannot delete this type of transfer.
- You must be the sender of the transfer and you must send us a request from the same email address you used to send that particular transfer.
- You need to show us a copy of the confirmation email you received when you completed your upload. Please either copy the full text from the confirmation email and paste it into your request or take a screenshot of it and attach it to your request.
- PLEASE NOTE: we cannot accept screenshots in the following formats: pdf, msg, doc - we do like copy-pastes, jpegs and pngs
