The app is still available to download, and should function as expected, but if something starts going haywire, we’re not going to be in a position to help out. Sorry to disappoint!
There's no email confirmation for our Mac app if you're signed out of a WeTransfer account. Our app is built to share link transfers, and therefore, if your transfers aren’t linked to an account, we won’t have an inbox to send a confirmation email to!
If you do have an account with us, free or Pro, you’ll receive a confirmation email to notify you of the first time that your transfer has been fully downloaded. We won’t send you a confirmation every single time your transfer is downloaded. If you’d rather use the Mac app without an account, that’s fine too!
However, be aware that it is up to you to copy the download link, or select the option to automatically copy all links to your clipboard. Click on the app icon, and after that on the little cogwheel, to find your 'Preferences'.
This is where you'll find the option to "Auto copy link to clipboard". That will do exactly what it says on the tin - by making sure all your future uploads are copied automatically to your clipboard.
It is up to you to copy the link or keep track of it in any way that's suitable for you. It is also up to you to share it with whomever you like, since we don't send an email to you or the recipient.
