Making your life easier is our top priority. Since we know paying stuff is something most people put it off until the last minute, we've created a fix. You can now allow us to renew your Plus subscription for you, easy-peasy! If you sign up for Plus, we will automatically renew your account by default. So unless you disable automatic renewal, we will try to extend your account when your subscription is about to end.
Automatic renewals are enabled for all the Plus accounts that match all these criteria:
- You've filled in your entire address
- In case you have a business originating in the EU, there needs to be a valid VAT number when we renew your account for you
- The original payment was done using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Paypal, Discover or iDeal
If you want to check if your Plus account is set to be renewed automatically, you can do so in your Plus panel. All information related to your Plus account can be found under the Account tab. Here's a visual, stating this particular Plus account will be renewed automatically on the 2nd of November, 2017:
If you don't want us to keep your account active by renewing it, you have to disable automatic renewal. If you don't disable it we'll try to renew your Plus account with your previously used payment method.
Disabling automatic renewal doesn't mean you can't renew the Plus account yourself. Manual renewal will still be an option if you don't want us to charge you automatically. During a manual renewal, you will have the option to adjust your payment details.
To disable auto-renewal, open 'Account' in the top right corner of the page. In here, click on 'Payment' and then 'stop automatic renewal'.
You can always enable automatic renewal again. We will then attempt to renew your Plus account for you (again, around two weeks before it expires), using your previously used payment method
