Accessing your WeTransfer account is super simple! De-accessing your account is super simple, too! Okay, okay, we know 'de-accessing' isn't a word, but it sounds a bit cooler than 'log out'... doesn't it?
How to log in
Just look for the 'Log in' button at the top right corner and click it. You’ll be taken to a new screen where you can enter your email address and password into. Fill those in and Voilà! You've done it.
You’ll also notice that we’ve now introduced Single Sign-On (SSO). This gives you the option to log in with social applications. These include Apple, Google and Slack however, you can still sign in the old fashioned way using your account’s email address and password. Just enter your details into each field and click the ‘Log In’ button and viola!
If you’re interested in SSO, you can read more about SSO here. TLDR; these are the important things to note:
- If you log in via Apple, Google or Slack and this email address doesn’t match the email address that is currently registered to your WeTransfer account, then you’ll be creating a new account with us. So, if the email address for your chosen social application doesn’t match the email address for your WeTransfer account then you’ll need to enter your details manually and log in the old fashioned way.
- You will not have a set password as you have signed via a third party social platform. If you would like to change your password please reach out to our Support team here.
How to log out
If you need to log out of your Pro account (all the excitement can be overwhelming, we know) then you just need to head to the top right corner of your page, click on your account name and click the 'Log out' button. It looks like this:
How do I know if I'm logged in?
There are a few ways that you can ensure that you're logged in to your Pro account. The quickest and easiest way is to have a glance at the top-right hand corner of your page.
Remember the ‘Log in’ button from the top of this article? Well, if you see this button when you’re on WeTransfer.com, you’re not logged in. If you see your account name next to your chosen avatar - you’re logged in, and you can get on with the business of transferring your files.
Here’s an example of what you should be seeing:
