When you send large uploads, they need to be processed on our servers, before the confirmation email will be sent. As already mentioned, this can take a little while on our side. Please don't be mad though, we will send the confirmation once we are sure your upload has been processed completely and is safely available for the recipient(s) on our servers.
If you still haven't received an email after some time (Please keep in mind that larger files can take up to an hour or more), please check your spam folder and junk mail. Sometimes the confirmation email ends up there, because it was sent from our firstname.lastname@example.org address (which can be marked as spam by your inbox).
If that's not the case, double-check if the email address you typed into WeTransfer is correct. If there is absolutely no sign of typos or other mishaps, then please contact us via the "Submit a request" at the bottom of this page. Your email address may have ended up on the bounce list.
To harness your inbox, there's a standard setting that marks some messages as "unsafe". An email address starting with "noreply@" (like the one we use), can be seen as unsafe by some mail filters. Being an unsafe sender closes the gate to your inbox, meaning our emails are stuck in limbo. There's no way we can deliver the emails because you've locked your inbox for us and thrown away the key, so to speak.
So, after trying a couple of times, we are bound by law to stop trying. There are anti-spam laws in place for the same reason mail filters are; to protect people from spam. So we can't try again and are forced to put the email address in question on what's called a bounce list. Once your email address is on the bounce list, you won't be able to receive our messages any more.
If that's the case for you, please send us a nice message with the email addresses that seem to be affected. We'll check if they ended up on the bounce list, and get it off there if needed.
To avoid this gnarly situation from happening over and over, you'll have to invite our email address back into your inbox. When you whitelist 'email@example.com', or add it to your contacts, we're invited to the party again, and the problem is solved.
