To make sure your recipient's download is as smooth and secure as possible, we create a zip file when they download a transfer consisting of multiple files. Zipping is the process of compressing a bunch of files into a smaller folder, called a .zip file. We do everything we can to make sure that the .zips we create can be opened on any operating system by any software. If you do have any issues opening any .zip folders, please let us know. It doesn't matter what size the files individually are, it's just a fact that when you, or someone else, downloads a transfer from us, we'll create a .zip folder to get all the files downloaded as smoothly as possible.
If you've got a jolt of anxiety after seeing the word 'compressing' above, take a breath. Files that are uploaded to our service aren't changed in any way, shape or form, and we use lossless compression when creating our .zip files. Your high-quality files won't be touched!
If you don't want us to zip the files for you, you can easily zip the files yourself. That way you will be able save the structure of your files and the name remains the same as well -- but we won't be able to offer previews for any files within the .zip folder.

And if you or your recipients need some guidance with using the right unzipping tool, please take a look at this tutorial.
