You may have found that you have received an unexpected file transfer from somebody via WeTransfer. Or that they have typed your email address as the sender. When it comes to spam, the sender usually sends the same transfer to multiple recipients.
Because our service is simple to use, this has allowed spammers to take advantage of and abuse the service we provide.
We are aware there has been an increase in spam activity and we are working on a new strategy to tackle this problem.
It is important you do not download the files in the transfer and instead, contact us by submitting a ticket and let us know the email address of the sender so we can look into it.
Bear in mind, if you do not download the transfer, there is no harm done and the spammer wouldn't have any access to your email server.
